This film gets me everytime and my post-millennial daughter loves it too. I was a baby when this film came out. It uses some synth music which really goes with the ocean theme and I sort of miss this type of soundtrack music. Deep down inside it's all of our dreams to free the orcas long as all of us have a heart. It's in Seattle so everything is very beautiful. I prefer this movie over all the other Free Willies because it's more of a journey and less of a teen drama sequel. It raises a lot of good questions about Foster families and how children relate to the parents. I think showing the mother and child relationship between the orcas is important to show because it makes us realize how we affect them.

Killer whales had a much more benevolent personality then when a trainer or two hadn't been killed by them. Sea World was still in full swing then. If you were a parent or a child in the seventies, this movie will be for you.

My sister and I, ages 9 and 7, both agree that this tale of a killer whale is one of the best movies we've ever watched. The scene at the end, the whole jumping-over-the-wall part, that was amazing! The expression on the evil man's face, it was priceless! It was fun to watch the bond that grew between Jesse and Willy, and I can't think of ANY slightly bad part in this five-star movie. As a 9 year-old, I recommend this movie to kids aging 7 and up. This is also recommended greatly for adults.

This is a nice, family movie. It has everything; adventure, comedy, drama, action, you name it. I love the song, at the end, by Michael Jackson. It could be one of those preachy movies, but it isn't. It did bring to light an important issue during that time, and it made people aware of an important species. The acting is great. Even the children give great performances.

I saw this as a kid when it first came out. It was a great movie then and it still holds up. It's so beautiful to see the relationship between keiko and jesse. I have also seen the documentaries about keiko being released back into the wild, I definitely recommend them. I have never been to seaworld and I hope people will realize that killer whales don't belong there.
