Woody, a cowboy doll, is Andy's favorite. But when Buzz Lightyear arrives the space hero takes Andy's room by storm! Their rivalry leaves them lost and in a nightmare with Sid, a toy-torturing boy next door. To escape they need to work together.

This version of TOY STORY does not have the BONUS FEATURES! They are missing at the end of the film... and I can't find a way to notify AMAZON about it either which is maddening.
Again with these cartoons, lacking diversity, is this world so racist that we can't even draw black or brown toy figures in cartoons? All kinds of children watch these movies and they should be represented too
This movie was not what it seems. My kids thought it would be cute to watch a movie about a kid who has toys that talk. However, the main character "Woody" is an evil cowboy who has some serious attachment issues and cannot allow others to play with his owner. He gets so jealous he knocks another out a window. Then, when trying to get this toy back, for fear of being shunned by others, he is toy-napped by a Sid-istic kid who tortures and mutilated his toys. The toys rebel and emotionally scar the child and make it home in time to stay with their owner. There was a lot of gruesome horror filled toy time, but 3 stars because my kids still liked it!
Super good movie - loved getting back to the ORIGINAL ToyStory movie .... & Tim Allen - what a SUPER hoot seeing Buzz Light Year & remembering just how many kids wanted the actual "Buzz" toy ... my son @ the time - HAD to have one & of course - as a good parent - made sure he got one that Christmas - my wife at the time - shocked the heck out of me & bought me a "Woody" - super sweet gesture ... oddly enough - my little son of course - wound up with both Woody & Buzz ... & ya .. as a good dad ... I couldn't have cared less ... so ... watching this movie - SO many good memories ....
In many ways, Toy Story is a very fun story. It is always a big adventure. Woody is always the biggest hero in our story, following Buzz Lightyear's famous motto, "To infinity and beyond." To me, Toy Story has emotional stories. It makes me happy and sad. It's got incredible animation, and it's been the greatest movie franchise ever told.
It's amazing when Pixar tells the stories of Flik the cute ant, Sulley the big and awesome monster, Nemo and Marlin the clownfish , superhero family the Incredibles, race car Lightning McQueen, Remy the culinary rat, WALL-E the sweet and adorable little robot, adventurer Mr. Fredricksen, Disney Princess Merida, Joy the happiest emotion, Arlo the good dinosaur, young musician Miguel Rivera, Ian and Barley the elves, Joe the jazz musician but more importantly, the lovable cowboy doll, Sheriff Woody and fearless astronaut action figure Buzz Lightyear.
Toy Story makes me laugh and cry every time. Woody is my favorite character from all 4 Toy Stories. And Toy Story made me learn that I've got a friend in one and another. It will make me have heart that toys will be there for me when I need them. Toy Story is one of my favorite Disney movies of all time.
This s such a great movie. I remember when my oldest saw it for the first time when he was about 4 years old....14 years ago! He was so excited to entertain the thought that his toys really were his friends and may be alive! He fell in love with all of the characters and continued to collect them and watch this movie over and over and OVER again. This movie is so cute. It has such a great message which is so typical and expected from Disney of course. Now, I have 4 kids with one on the way. They have all absolutely loved this movie and we continue to watch it all the time!!!!
Definitely in my top 10 Disney movies of all time!!!!

What's not to love about this movie. The characters are charming, loving, loyal and very endearing. I have loved this movie since the first time I saw it. I played it for my sick 2 year old and he seemed to like it although I think he will like it so much more when he's a little older. I have heard from other parents the neighbor kid could be kind of scary for little ones. I advise that all parents preview a movie before showing it to your little ones under 4. All kids are different and no one knows them better than you. The neighbor didn't even phase my 2 year old but I still thought I should mention it. Enjoy!

Just as good as I remember watching it with my little sister! My little two and a half year old can not get enough of it! Even his little sister of six months enjoys it! You can also watch it in French. Great for when they get older making another language interesting! I have never met a little one yet who doesn't enjoy this film. Most grown ups enjoy it too. Good family film. Highly recommend.
