To be perfectly honest I didn’t know if I could pull off the black loafer look, but I feel like a good black flat is a fall wardrobe essential. When I first saw this trend, I was a little skeptical, but then I ran across this picture in a magazine and I was inspired…
I don’t know, maybe it was because she was holding a baby or that she so casually put her foot on this really cool red sofa, but it spoke to me. That’s when I realized that this trend could be so elegant and classic, and the search began for the perfect black loafer.
I found these Via Spiga loafers at Nordstrom, and I liked that they didn’t cover the entire foot and still looked feminine.
Shoes in action, guess where I am…
I found these similar, less expensive, Dolce Vita loafers at a bientot in Houston, but here they are at Zappos. I think I may even like these more than my Via Spiga pair! I pinned these Emerson Fry loafers on the right along time ago, and in this case it worked out because now pink ones are on sale.

Where are your jeans from? I’ve been looking for the perfect pair of dark skinnies. Love the loafers, very chic!

I like the shoes, but most know about your bag! What brand is it? I love it!

Just a guess but I think it’s a Marc by Marc Jacobs bag.

I like the DV Dolce Vita Lissa’s that you posted. What do you think about DV Dolce Vita Gilly’s? Very similar, but curious which ones you think are better. Thanks!

I too want to know about the bag! It looks like it would hold the kitchen sink which is exactly what I like to carry around with me!;-)
