I’m going to be honest, I kept hearing this term “statement necklace” and I had no idea what it meant. Did it mean the necklace itself makes a statement? Why did I “need” one? Well, I’m still not sure I know, but I am wearing the necklace above all the time. While I don’t know if it makes a statement, I do know it makes every outfit better. It can also take a day outfit into the night and it just as easily completes a cocktail dress look. Is this why I “needed” a statement necklace? Ha!
From the very second I tried on this necklace at the store I loved it. It was the perfect accessory for my cocktail dress.
What I didn’t know is that I would wear it out with my jeans to dinner,
to celebrate my 8th wedding anniversary,
and I even wore it to the Nutcracker Market, shopping with my family!

I’ve been on the lookout for a great necklace to go with most anything and have felt so lost with the huge array at stores! Thanks for this post! Is there a general rule for what size necklace goes with what collar style? (i.e. are long necklaces worn best with button-down-the-front shirts, etc.).
