Spring is officially here! Yesterday was the Spring Equinox… just ask the Google machine- ha! It’s gotten me in the mood to wear my white jeans, so I thought I would do a quick post on the matter. Just in time for some of you who may be thinking about doing a little spring/summer shopping.
A friend of mine, who was headed to go shopping for white jeans, asked me if she should buy white capris or full length white jeans. I answered her without any hesitation- buy full length jeans that you can roll. This includes either straight leg or skinny jeans. This way you have control over where the “capri length” hits you and you don’t have to buy two different pairs of jeans.
Then, I had conversation with another friend who was trying to find white jeans that you can’t see through. I tested both pairs of my white jeans and they passed the see through test!
In the pictures above I’m wearing the Citizen of Humanity Skinny Avedon jeans. I loved my black pair so much I bought them in white (you’re not the only one who does this- ha!) In the picture on the left they are the normal length and in the picture on the right they are rolled. I love to wear them both ways.
I’m wearing my AG Stevie straight leg jeans in these pictures (original post here). They look great with any type of shoe, which is why I’m wearing them with flats on the left and booties on the right. I like to roll this pair of jeans, too. AG no longer makes the Stevie in white, but here’s a link to their new straight leg cut, the Stilt. I hope this post makes it a little easier for you to find the perfect pair of white jeans.
I just got the Frontier pant in white from athleta. It is made of schoeller fabric, which fits great, doesn’t stretch or get dirty, and is not see through. I have the original dark (blackish color), and the white is a welcome addition.

This is great but I’m so paranoid about wearing white pants. What if you sit on something dirty!? Ugh, I just can’t get past it. You look great though 🙂 and good for you for being brave!

Hi, Carly – Ok, so I know this sounds silly…..but will you do a tutorial on how you roll your jeans? They always look so darling on you, but I feel like a goofball when I roll mine. Maybe because I’m 5’10” and paranoid about wearing “high waters”?

Any recommendations for maternity white jeans?
I bought the white AG Stilt jeans this winter and I LOVE them! I usually have a hard time spending that much money on clothing, but I had searched high and low for the perfect white jeans and when I tried them on I knew they were the ones. They are soooo soft,and not at all see through, and they also do not lose their shape…aka your knees are not drooping by the end of the day! Totally worth the money!
