New Beauty Must Have!

Now, I don’t claim to be a beauty expert. I have no idea what the difference between BB cream or CC cream is, but I know a good product when I use one. This is how the story goes. I see a friend and I instantly ask her, “What did you do differently, you look amazing!?!? Did you color your hair?” She then tells me about this bb cream she got in her Birchbox that makes her skin look like a baby’s, all smooth and even in tone. I could not wait to get my Birchbox and try it!

Well, I tried it and instantly loved it. This is an untouched picture of my face before and after I used the Dr. Jart BB Cream. See how my skin looks more even and not so red? Usually I have to take a concealer stick to all of my uneven spots, but after I use this BB Cream I just need to use my concealer stick (here) under my eyes and then set with powder (though some days I don’t even do that -ha!).

Here’s what the product looks like. It’s like a lightweight tinted moisturizer that offers great coverage without appearing cake-y. I just do two pumps into my hand and apply it all over my face like a moisturizer.

Sephora describes this BB cream as “a moisturizer, sunscreen, and treatment serum, that also has advanced brightening properties”. Unfortunately, it only comes in one shade and it’s for light to medium skin tones. I guess the good thing about this is, if you have a light to medium skin tone, it takes the guess work out of which shade to buy. Now I can only hope that I can look as good as my friend, with her baby smooth skin- ha!
