There are two parts to this post, and both parts just kinda happened organically. First, it was brought to my attention by one of my friends, and then my client, and then my husband, that they didn’t know it was “OK” to wear rain boots with shorts. Heck yes it’s “OK”! Suppose you live in Seattle, (I chose this city because I’ve heard it rains a lot there) I imagine you would have rain boots in your car or at your office so that you could slip them on at any moment, no matter what you have on. I view rain boots as utilitarian and therefore it doesn’t really matter what you have on…. they go with everything!
The second part to this post is about “styling” and the difference it makes. The picture on the left looks like a regular jean shorts and tee outfit. I wouldn’t say it looks bad, but I would say the “styled” outfit on the right looks so much cuter! It’s amazing what a few accessories and a sloppy tuck can do for an outfit.

Yes, that is totally sun all around. And yes, I’m totally holding an umbrella when there is no rain. But, it WAS raining in the morning, I swear! Ha!
I have MK rain boots and wear them with Everything! Also I agree about styling something. My husband doesn’t understand why it takes just a minute longer to “style” my shorts and T.
