This week is a little crazy. I just moved into a new house, so it’s probably just a 2 post week. Although, posting helps me feel normal during all the chaos -ha! The main point of this post is near the bottom, so don’t miss it!
You know those items that you buy because you like them, and then you find yourself wearing them all the time? Way more than you had thought you would? This scarf and these shoes are those items for me.
I bought the scarf at Free People and I’ve been loving it. It seems to go with everything! I’ve dressed it down with casual sports clothes and dressed it up with a silk blouse.
As you know, I have found “the most comfortable flats in the world“, so I was a little reluctant to buy another pair of black flats. But, I really liked the pointy toe and they have a different look to them than my other flats. Well, I’ve been wearing them a ton. Oh, and I’m wearing my silver tone watch with my gold hoops, mixing metals and loving it!
Here’s a side view of the flat. I’m not really checking the mail -ha! I just had the silly thought to strike a pose and my sister snapped a picture.
Now, here’s the main point of this post. Client’s often ask me how to wear their scarves. I like to tell them to decide which way to wear it, but don’t try to get it perfect or worry about it looking perfect. Scarves should just fall naturally and you shouldn’t worry about them during the day, just let it be! (Unless one side is dragging on the floor -ha!) Now, go back and look at all of the pictures. The scarf is certainly not perfect in any of the pictures, but you probably didn’t noticed it when you first looked at the post.
Here’s to stress free scarf wearing -ha!

Cute shoes! Are they true to size? I’m a 7.5 and with some flats I need to size up to an 8 so that they are not too tight.
I wear an 8.5 and I have an 8.5. I hope this helps.
Thanks! Love your blog – you find some great stuff! I think it would be very helpful if you could start pointing out if the clothes/shoes run smaller/larger or true to size. You don’t have to say your size but just know the “fit” is very helpful for us online shoppers 🙂
