The Basics

I love outfits like this- a pair of jeans, a sweater and tennis shoes. Easy, stylish and comfy. It’s all so basic. In fact, I picked up this book titled “Parisian Chic” A Style Guide by Ines de la Fressange with Sophi Gachet (link here) and she states her basics (which she calls the “Magnificent Seven”) as: a man’s blazer, a trench coat, a navy sweater, a tank top, a little black dress, jeans and a leather jacket. Well, I’ve got two out of the seven on in one outfit. Shall we call me “Parisian Chic”?!?!? -ha!

Oh, and she never mentions any other tennis shoes than converse! Too bad they weren’t part of the “Magnificent Seven,” or I would have had “Parisian Chic” in the bag -ha! It’s a really fun read for those who like fashion as much as I do, and it’s in a red book jacket- so cute! It would make a great birthday gift for a friend!
