I have a secret to share! I have a new favorite place to buy casual, everyday jewelry. Every time I go shopping, I find myself heading to the Madewell jewelry section to see what treasures I can find. I’m continually impressed with their quality, design and price point. For example, the short wavestack necklace (3) is the perfect way to add a little umph to a t-shirt or any everyday outfit. The knotshine bangle (6) is the perfect addition to a stack or as a stand alone piece. And it’s great for everyday! I am a huge fan of long necklaces and both (1, 2) of these are unique in design and could easily be worn with a short necklace or by itself. I will share mine: I snap up a lot of the “statement” jewelry necklaces from Forever 21 (they are about $10 each) and then I get compliments on them wherever I go. I can’t stand their clothes, but I realized this about their necklaces a few years ago. If you can exercise a bit of discernment (to pass on the ones that look cheapy), then you can score some fun pieces that look like they’d cost lots more and add some personality to any outfit.
