It feels so good to be back! My family and I just spent a fun week at the beach. We had a great time, but there is something about coming back and chatting with you guys that gets me excited, so thank you for reading! If you have a summer vacation planned, hopefully you can find some outfit inspiration in these posts.
There is nothing like finding a fun new shirt for a trip! After shopping for my son, we were walking through Saks Off 5th on our way to the car when I saw this shirt hanging on a rack. It had me at tie-dye…
… no, maybe it was the cut out in the back. No, no, it was officially the great price that sealed the unbelievable deal. And can I just say, it’s for all of these reasons that I felt really cool when I wore it -ha!

You all have seen this shirt before. I actually bought it on our family beach vacation two years ago. I’ve been so surprised how often I wear it. You see, since this shirt is see through, it could be what I consider a “complicated” piece in a closet. But that’s when you realize the importance of good under pinnings. This camisole has been perfect for me (it’s Abound from Nordstrom Rack purchased a long time ago). It enables me to wear all of those “complicated” shirts I have in my closet. It’s tight enough so the straps don’t constantly fall down, it doesn’t add any additional fluff underneath, and the straps are wide, ensuring that my granny bra strap is not seen-ha!
I hope this inspires to find a really great functioning camisole. It is the best way to get more wear out of the clothes in your closet. But I’ll be honest, I think the necklace makes this outfit. I’ve been wearing it a ton!

Well, you know all about my cover-ups and swimsuits, but here are just a few thoughts:
1. (Swimsuit- Madewell, Shorts- Old Navy) I got lots of wear out of those shorts on the trip.2. (Rash guard- Free People, Bikini- Ted Baker) I loved how easily I could take this rash guard on and off because of the way it ties in the back. Katie and Kristin – you gals were right, I absolutely love this swim suit. My husband’s swim suit is Volcom, but while I was looking for the link I found thisand this. Men’s swimsuits are so hard to find.3 & 5. (Hat- J.Crew, Rash guard- J.Crew) This hat and this rash guard were the two most worn pieces on the trip.4. (Swimsuit- Mara Hoffman) My sweet cousin let me post this cute picture of her, because I fell in love with her swimsuit and I knew y’all would, too. 6. (Cover-up- Nordstrom and similar) I love this cover up so much I want to wear it non stop, so I will -ha!
