This outfit was inspired by a comment from a friend. We were headed to a girls dinner and she said something about us throwing on our usual white jeans and a cute top for dinner (my go to girls night out outfit). What she didn’t know was that I viewed it as a challenge to come up with something different -ha!
So there I was, starring at the clothes in my closet, trying to figure out how to make my green pants (something that I mostly wear in the fall/winter) work for a girls night out in the dead of the summer. Well, what’s easier than pairing the pants with a sleeveless top?
I’ll have to say that this black silk tank is one of THE MOST VERSATILE TOPS I have in my closet. I wear it all the time (as you’ve probably noticed) -ha! I wear it as a shell under a blazer, alone tucked into a skirt, with white jeans and black heels, or sloppy tucked into skinnies with flats. I must say, it was a really good purchase of mine from last years Nordstrom Anniversary sale.
An outfit inspiration picture for your pin board. Here’s mine.
