I’m back and feeling much better. Thank you for the sweet well wishes.
Every six months, my family and I head to an antique fair in Round Top, TX. We wander the fields for treasures and sometimes we find them, sometimes we don’t. Regardless, we always have a wonderful time and I always love being in the country!
So, what does one wear while searching for antiques in the heat and walking through fields? I’m certainly not an expert, but I’ve been enough to know what works and what doesn’t. I almost always wear cowboy boots because of the dirt (I hate to get dirt in between my toes). But I also bring wellies and flip flops, just in case it rains or my cowboy boots get too hot.
I like to wear loose/flow-y shirts so that when I sweat, you can’t see my sweat spots. Plus tight shirts make me sweat more, or at least I feel it more -ha!
My distressed blue jean shorts felt perfect for this occasion! Plus, they’re comfy and if I sit on a dirty surface, it’s no big deal.
If you ask me, the accessories make this outfit. It’s always amazing to me how accessories can transform an outfit! The necklaces are all jumbled but I’m posting it anyway, because I still think it looks cute! ha!

You look like a model. I would hate you if I didn’t like you so dang much.

Hi…I have a question for you about your Lucchese’s. I have been in LOVE with these boots ever since you first posted about them. I have a pair of Steve Madden look-alikes, but I’m ready for the real deal! I am curious to know how these fit you – in terms of size. I am typically a size 9 shoe, and an 8 or 8.5 in all types of boots. I ordered an 8 and 8.5 in this boot from Amazon. The 8 was too narrow on one foot and too short. But the 8.5’s were way too big. I’m wondering if this is an “every pair fits different” situation, since they are handmade. I’m really hoping to find a pair that fits me right! Would love to know how the sizing worked for you, and if they stretched at all with wear. Love your style and your blog!

Hi Sarah! I think I may have a helpful answer for you. I always wear a size 8.5, but in my Lucchese’s I have an 8 B. So, maybe it’s that you need to order a wider width! I hope this helps. Thanks for your comment!

Hi Carly, Did you mean that you have an 8 C? The B is the ‘normal width’ in these boots. Also, did yours stretch much with wear? Thanks!!
