Seriously, how cheesy is this picture? I even have my hand perched on my chin like my old Olan Mills portraits. But, I’m posting it anyway, because it shows my outfit the best -ha!
I’m always trying to think of ways I can wear what I already have in my closet more. And, truth be told, I really had to fight the urge to go out and buy something new for my recent trip to Dallas. So I pulled out all of my coolest clothes and went to work! I consider my black leather leggings part of my “cool clothes”, and although I normally wear them with heels for dressier occasions, I decided to wear them during the day with tennis shoes! I cuffed the leggings for a sportier look. Comfy, practical, functional and chic. My kind of outfit!
I tied my blue jean shirt around my waist for extra coverage, but also to tie in the blue in my shoes. It was also functional for when I got cold.
The day before, we went shopping for home stuff at Wisteria. Of course I end up oooogling over the jewelry of a local designer, Jeny Baker Designs. Well, leave it to me to buy jewelry at a furniture/home store. But, I couldn’t help myself! And, of course, I had to wear her bracelets the next day!

So cute, as always. I wanted to tell you that last weekend I had to travel to Houston for a short trip. As I was flying in, I was thinking to myself, “Now, who do I know in Houston?”, and the first name that popped in my head was “Carly!” Which is all very well and good… except I don’t actually know you. But I thought is was an indication of how much you make your readers feel like we are one of your girlfriends. Your writing has a sweetness about it that is endearing.
