You can imagine, for someone who loves fashion as much as I do, how inspiring runway shows are. Especially when it’s the talented David Peck! Now, even if you don’t consider yourself a fashion enthusiast, I can promise you, you’ll find some really great inspiration in the photos below.
First up were the “uniforms” he designed for the staff of the new J. W. Marriott in downtown Houston. Well, there is nothing about these ensembles that even closely resembles a uniform. How awesome would it be to work for J. W. Marriott and get to wear a look designed by David Peck. I personally would love to be the front desk concierge, just to wear that suit (bottom right).
Then the show moved to his 2014 Fall/Winter Collection. I’ll start with some great looks for those of you who are looking for something to wear to a party, shower, luncheon, church, holiday party, and well, anywhere dressy that’s not black tie -ha!
I love this tweed dress! You usually see tweed as a conservative jacket or as a suit, but I love how he gives tweed an edge with the tight silhouette and bright green colors. I especially love how he paired it with a modern black heel with an ankle strap.
How great does this turtle neck look tucked into this skirt?!?! Have you ever seen a black turtle neck look so chic?!? I usually just wear mine with jeans… Totally inspired. Totally copying.
I love the silhouette of this dress, and I love how he paired it with a heeled fringe boot. So chic.
Some of my favorite looks of the night were evening looks.
You all should have seen how these dresses moved as they walked down the runway. You know that Charlize Theron, Dior commercial when she’s walking in that gold dress? Yes? That is how these dresses moved and I officially want one.
I just love it!
I adore this evening look, because the dressy is so flirty and fun. It looks elegant and sexy, but not too serious, no? I absolutely love how he paired it with a fun, long statement necklace.
I love this evening dress. I love the modern feel of the blue and black and the sexy feel of the sheer black sleeves. Sophisticated yet edgy.
I’ve never worn an ethereal, lace gown, but leave it to David Peck to have me officially wanting to wear one. There is something about this look that reminds me of one of my favorite reads, Tess of the D’urbevilles. The ultimate in femininity. Oh, and I officially want fair skin and red hair, too. HA!
These evening wear separates are my favorite looks of the night. You don’t often see separates for evening wear, and I think that’s why I love these looks so much.
I am head over heels in love with this skirt. The next time I’m invited to an evening event, this is what I want to wear. Oh my goodness, I just noticed that it has pockets! My favorite.
How chic is a long, sequin trumpet skirt?!?! Not a sequin dress, a skirt! Love it. I love the high waist, and the movement of the skirt was amazing. Very elegant.
Yet another unexpected, long, elegant skirt. I’m pretty sure this was a wool blend (like suit material), which makes it that much cooler. I can just see this with a black turtle neck and black dorsey heals. Wait…. I think I’m copying a look from above. Ha!
All looks will be available on David Peck’s website, so keep checking back.
