What are you getting your mom for Mother’s Day? What do you want for Mother’s Day? Are you thinking, “Wait, I haven’t even thought about Mother’s Day… When is it?!”. Ha! That is what I would be thinking. Luckily, this year Nordstrom is keeping me on my toes. They asked me to share a few of my Mother’s Day gift recommendations, and what makes a better gift than jewelry?! It comes in a variety of price points and different styles. I, of course, have a couple ideas! If you’ve been following along for any amount of time, then you’ve seen the jewelry in the picture above like a bajillion times. And you know what that means? That they would make great gifts, because they are versatile (that is why I wear them all the time). Plus, if she/you don’t like the item, you can return it with the little sticker! There’s no receipt needed, so no upset feelings!
Earrings- Gorjana, Necklace- Nordstrom for similar, Bracelets- Alex and Ani
Here are a few other jewelry ideas. I desperately needed a gold hoop alternative (sister needs to change up her earring selection), so I purchased these dainty little things that still make a statement (but not too much of one) -ha! I also wear my simple gold bar necklace a ton. It’s great for everyday! And if you’re really wanting to celebrate you’re mom or someone is really wanting to celebrate you, these are the fine jewelry pieces I wear almost daily- ring and station necklace.
I would be remiss if I didn’t add a few quotes to this post. Being a mom is really, really hard. Really, really worth it, but really, really hard. Here are a few quotes that meant something to me and I wanted to share. If you like one of them, send it to your mom or friend. As we all know, all moms can use some encouragement.
I will never give up or check out.
This one took me so long to learn (ok, I’m still learning), but I know it to be true. 100% true.
I have to remind myself of this all the time. When my boys are crying because they miss me or they have to go to school (yay, because I’ve given them roots), I must remember they need to be given moments for their wings to grow.
This isn’t really a quote, but I love this Instagram from Yolanda Foster. This one has a special meaning to me. I’m doing so much work to recover from my childhood, and if there is one thing I could give my boys, it would be a childhood they don’t need to recover from. #breakingthecycle

Thank you for these great ideas for Mother’s Day! Will you please consider doing a post on ideas for graduation gifts? Some of our favorite sitters are graduating from high school and heading to the Univ of Texas…would love a few ideas for that perfect gift to show them our appreciation for always taking great care of the kiddos!
