A Week on the Couch: Favorite Finds

What were you guys up to this weekend? I hope it involved something with water, sun, and family. This past week my son had a fever for 7 days (he’s ok), ahhhhhh! I think I almost went mad. Wait, maybe I did just a little. I know I went a little stir crazy, and I’m certain I wasn’t the nicest person (just ask my husband and s-i-l). At one point, while my husband and I were bickering about a variety of things, like medicine times and amounts, what my son had for fluids, and what his latest temp. was, I told him we just had to stop. The real reason we were bickering had nothing to do with these little details or the way we were acting. It was all because we both love our son so much and were worried about him. It’s interesting how fear and worry can manifest themselves. It ended up being a virus, and it made me appreciate good health and fun summer days. It makes me sad to think about how easily I can take things for granted. I’m going to try and do a better job at this.

All that to say, you can guess what I did while sitting next to my son on the couch as he watched scooby doo reruns… Yup, a whole LOT of shopping! So if you weren’t sitting at home, combing the world wide web for hours upon hours last week, you may have missed these gems!Clutch

Did you guys know that iridescent items are a new “thing”? I saw them a number of different places this week on the internet and in the mags, so it must be, right? Ha! Out of all the items I saw this week, this clutch was by far my favorite. Ok, I like these, too.Sunnies

Thankfully I was able to have lunch with a friend this week(thanks to my s-i-l). The friend I met for lunch is very stylish in her own right. I immediately noticed her sunglasses, and upon my inquiry, she told me she bought them at a gas station. Well, it has rekindled my love for cheap sunnies, and when I ran across these, I had to have them. I love the very en vogue flat top and over all shape of these trendy glasses, but what I love even more is the price.Shirt

What could be prettier than a blue and white stripe shirt. Well, in my mind, not much. What can I say? I love them, and I love this one. They are me. They are my style. I wear them all year round, and I find that they have major staying power in my closet.

In a few weeks we are headed to California for a family vacation. I need casual, stylish and somewhat warm tops to throw over my swimsuit or to wear out to dinner. This one fits the bill. Plus, I love that it has a hood. I’m not sure why, I just do. Ha!

It looks like I can wear leggings with this top… SOLD. Nothing more I need to say. Ha! 
Sandals

Try and think of a casual outfit these sandals would not go with… I can’t, and that’s why they are amazing.
