Recently, a few of you have been wondering how I do my bun. I am so flattered! I didn’t realize how much I depend on this quick and easy hairdo until I started this blog. I really love to sleep… it’s probably my favorite thing to do. So, for this reason I can’t pull myself out of bed to really “do” my hair. Here’s how I do my everyday bun:
After drying your hair, shake your head and see which part is looking best that day- left, right, center…
Today my hair looked and fell best on the left.
Once you’ve parted your hair, pull it to the side and pin it with a bobby pin.
Gather your hair into a ponytail and put your hairband on your other hand.
Twist your hair while still holding your ponytail. Twist it so much that it starts to curve and form into a bun. Then, take hold of the very end of your ponytail.
While holding the end of your ponytail wrap your hair around itself. Then tuck in the end.
Once you have the end piece tucked in, grab the entire bun with your hand that has your hairband on it.
Then, start wrapping your rubber band at the base of the bun…
collecting some of the piece that are sticking out, but don’t worry about this too much, it’s not supposed to be perfect
It’s not a perfect bun- as you can see some hair is sticking out. During the middle of the day my hair will come loose, and I’ll tuck it under the bobby pin or back under the rubber band. I like to keep it imperfect.
Here’s to all of us getting a little more sleep!

Thanks for this awesome tutorial… I always wear mine pulled back, in much messier version of this, so I am now inspired to step it up a notch! Also, love the black leggings look below! Hope you have a great weekend!

Very cute! If you have any advice on growing your hair out, it would be much appreciated. I know that patience is probably the number one suggestion….
