OK, so clearly a pear sweater isn’t for everybody but that’s what style is all about, right?!?! In Houston it’s been raining for what feels like years, although it’s only been a couple days. So, when I saw the sun through my bathroom shutters the other morning I knew I had to wear my sweater- it’s fun and sunny feeling. I guess you could say I was inspired by the sun. I’m a firm believer that if you see something that you LOVE and is just so “you”, buy it (if you have the money, that is). I actually passed on this sweater when I first saw it at J. Crew. It was during Christmas and I was supposed to be shopping for others, right?! But when I opened it up from my Father-in Law, I was so excited and kind of amazed! How did he know? Or did he just think it looked like me?! Moral to this story is, style is so personal so buy what you love! They say to do it for your home, so why not do it for your clothes!
Why a pear you ask? I can’t believe I’m actually about to write this- when my husband and I got married we had a pear theme. “The Perfect Pair” to be exact. How cheesy is that?!?! So cheesy, we even gave away pears as our favors!
