AHHHHHH, I’m posting myself without make-up!!!!! I have a secret- at one point in my life I wanted to be a make-up artist. Now I don’t even have time to put make-up on, BUT I still LOVE make-up and I’m ALWAYS searching for the next best thing. Here are my three beauty items that I couldn’t live without! If I was on the show survivor and I could only take 3 items, this is what I would bring!
Every time I apply this Bobbi Brown foundation stick (I use the color porcelain) in front of a friend, they ask me, “Where did you get that?!?!”. So, you know it’s good. Basically, I use it as my concealer. I use it around my eyes, under my nose where it gets red, on top of a blemish and then I just rub it in. Sometimes I put powder on top and sometimes I don’t. All I know is, I can go from looking tired and dead to alive and fresh in 30 seconds.
So, I guess I like to apply everything with just my fingers. It takes the least amount of time and I don’t have to carry around a brush. This cream blush by Bobbi Brown in pale pink stays on and gives me a pop of color in 15 seconds. It has the same effect of pinching your cheeks, but the color stays. I have been known to do this entire make up routine while at a stop light.
Now, I realize not everyone likes a red lip, but this product is not about it’s color. It’s the application. It’s a large lip pencil that doesn’t get all goopy or get on your teeth. It can be worn alone or it can be added to a lip gloss for a little more color. I also have a natural color but I love the “dragon girl” color more. I’m just going to throw this out there- it may be the perfect red lip color.

I love your blog and your style! Spot-on fashion tips. {I have purchased several of your clothing recommendations. In fact, just wore my new J Crew rhinestone-collar embellished blue shirt under a navy blazer to our son’s UT graduation this past weekend, thanks to your post a few weeks ago!} And now makeup tips. What’s not to love?! Do you mind sharing the specific product info for the foundation stick and the blush? The product name, and especially the colors you use for both? Thanks so much for sharing, and keep blogging! : )

Just realized the photos at the bottom of the post link to the products, but would still love to know the foundation/blush color names you are using, as my coloring is similar to yours! Thanks again.

And let me just say, all that is left now is for you to post without make-up in your swimsuit. I dare you.

I’m buying the foundation stick. Do you think I can just go with the same color? You know I don’t have time to go shopping right now.

oh, this is fab! I am the 30-second (or the bare!) girl. That makes it fun to glam up sometimes and put on mascara.
I use Benefit Erase Paste under my eyes – I LOVE it. Like you said, alert and fresh! And then I use Benefit Dandelion powder on cheek apples, a bit spread around on neck, forehead and chin. Ta-da, done.
I’d also love to know what you do to your eyes. I’m less confident there.

I love this post and your blog. I already consulted the bobbi brown counter at Nordy’s and bought the concealer stick and blush. You are my personal stylist…..unbeknownst to my friends. 😉
Keep it up! Thanks for your blog!
