Cover-Ups You Already Have In Your Closet!

I was asked by a reader for some recommendations for swimsuit cover-ups. Her comment got me thinking and researching because, quite frankly, I realized I don’t have a cover-up and I sure would like one! Then I started noticing one cute cover-up after the other while at the pool. Well, I’ve found a lot of cover-ups I like and I plan to share them with you all soon. But, I realized something, I already have a lot of cover-up options in my closet!

For instance, in my search for the perfect cover-up, I saw a striped scarf being sold. Ding, ding, ding, Yes! I have lots of scarves that I could wear as a cover-up. Plus, this one worked out perfectly, because it was a little chilly by the pool in L.A. and I was able to wrap it around my shoulders!

Then I saw a long white oxford tunic being sold as a cover-up. Well, you know, I’ve got that too…

And then I can even tuck it into shorts and head to dinner!

Here are some other cover-up ideas:
1. You know that shirt or dress that you need a special bra to wear? It’s the one that just sits there because you don’t want to have to wear a special bra. Well, give it a new life as a cover up!

For example:

a. razor back maxi dress/tank
b. spaghetti strap sundress/tank

2. Here’s another idea. You know that shirt or dress that is just a little too see through or is cut just a little too low? Well, give it a new life as a cover-up!

For example:

a. the maxi skirt or sundress that you love but you have to wear a slip under it

Basically, all your somewhat “complicated” pieces in your closet can be given a new life as a cover-up!
