I haven’t done a camera roll post in awhile, and since it’s summer, I thought it might be fun to take a break from the usual posts! This is my husband and I sporting our angry bird tattoos for our sons 4th birthday.
I love to look back at my camera roll because I use it in place of a brain sometimes. In this case, I’ve been wanting to do wallpaper in my master bath for a long time, so I took these pictures from a magazine. I am loving the stripes, but should I do a color or neutral? Ahhhhh- so hard to decide. I’m pretty sure I’d go with color and I’m pretty sure my husband would prefer the neutral. This is when I need to call my sister, the designer/mediator -ha! The really annoying part is that my husband and my sister usually agree.
I know I’m not the only one who reads more than one book at a time. These are the three books I’m reading right now. Book club, I know I was suppose to read The Big Rich a year ago -ha!
This is my stack of J. Crew Style Guides (AKA Catalogs). I’m telling you, if you are having difficulty finding something to wear, start flipping through one of these style guides and you’ll find yourself with an idea for an outfit.
Just in case you’ve ever wondered what a raccoon trap looks like, here ya go. In the span of four nights we trapped 2 raccoons and 2 opossums. Don’t worry, they were let go somewhere safe. Why would I care to trap these critters? Well, if you’ve ever woken up with an opossum in your room and had to trap it with a card board box while your husband pinned it down with a back hoe, then you would definitely want the critters trapped and as far away as possible.
This is a prime example of the way a designers mind works versus a “regular” mind. I just got these two foot stools from Crate and Barrel. My attempt to arrange the furniture is on the left, my sisters (an interior designers) arrangement is on the right. I mean, really, what was I thinking with the picture on the left.
My cousin has bible verses and inspirational words all over here house. This quote I found in one of her coffee table books. I’m on a mission to add more “words” to my house.
Just in case you need some inspiration for a table setting, here is the table at The Ivy from my trip to LA with my husband. Look how pretty every little detail is, right down to the menu.
This is a good example of throwing it all on and seeing if it works. I think I have EVERY bracelet on from my jewelry drawer, plus a necklace that I kept wrapping. It worked! Try it!
One of my besties sent this to me and I saved it as my phone wallpaper. Love it.

I am laughing! I love it that you called them “coons”! I was calling them raccoons at first and by the end of the process I was calling them “coons”, like a true Southerner! “Any coons in the trap this mornin”- hahaha! on Fun Friday- Camera Roll

Oh my gosh you’ve GOT to do a whole post on the opossum in the bedroom! That, or I’m going to lie and say it happened to me.
