I have a super fun post today! I get to collaborate with Elizabeth Showers! I met Elizabeth at a blogging conference in Dallas and was immediately taken by her jewelry and her story. I was so excited when she asked if I would participate in her “feel beautiful” week with other bloggers from across the country- Mimosa Lane and Blueprint for Style. She sent me some of her fabulous jewelry and I got to style it with some of my outfits! How fun is that?!?!
Recently, I worked with a client whose husband loved to buy her nice jewelry and he loved to see her wear it even more (what a nice husband!). Well, I thought this was the perfect opportunity to show how you can wear your nice jewels whenever you want!
Here the Elizabeth Showers earrings and cocktail ring are paired with a dressier outfit.

And here the earrings and cocktail ring are worn just as easily with jeans! In fact, I feel like the jewelry makes this outfit! If you have a nice cocktail ring, can I convince you to start wearing it with your more casual outfits?!?! It’s just so fun! I feel like cocktail rings are the best example of a piece of jewelry that can be dressy or casual.

What I love about Elizabeth Showers’ story is that, although she has achieved great success in her jewelry making, she has stayed vulnerable and real. She recovered from an eating disorder over 18 years ago. Instead of simply not talking about her journey and her recovery, she has used it to inspire her jewelry designs. She says, “Imperfection is what makes each stone perfect. My designs are created to highlight what’s special about each individual stone.” She has used her struggle to empower other women to “feel beautiful” inside and out, imperfections and all, with her “feel beautiful” campaign. And you know what, I feel most beautiful when I’m perfectly content with all my imperfections and just being the real me. I love her 39th Birthday post on her blog- check it out (here). If you’d like to follow along with Elizabeth Showers you can find her on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
