Can Someone Pinch Me?

Have I told you guys how much fun this blog is for me? When I received an e-mail from the Elaine Turner brand asking if I’d like to style two of their pieces, I seriously had to pinch myself. Well, what I really did is forwarded the e-mail to my sister with something that said, “AHHHHHHHHH!”. If you’re familiar with the Elaine Turner brand then you know exactly why this was my response, but if you’re not, let me open the door for you -ha!

Here’s her awesome flagship store in Houston- where she’s from, but certainly not where her brand is limited to. I wanted to take the pictures in the store so those of you who aren’t familiar with the brand can get a little snapshot of her style. She makes the cutest handbags, shoes and accessories.

I am absolutely in love with her Natasha sandals. I’ve been looking for a dressy gold sandal to dress up my casual shorts, skirts and jeans when I don’t feel like wearing a heel. Look how cute that gold cap on the toe is! I also fell in love with her Bella clutch because it goes so well with gold in the summer, but I know I can wear it with black in the winter to give my outfit a pop. I love that the color of the python can go with black, brown and gold shoes and accessories- so versatile. You know I’m always looking for versatile pieces!

Tip: Don’t let a certain style of shoe limit you. I always try to re-imagine items in my closet and think outside the box. For instance, you may think that the ankle strap would only allow you to wear shorts or skirts with this sandal, but I absolutely love the way these sandals look with my crop jeans!

Here’s a great big CHEERS to you guys, my readers, because without you and all of your encouragement, I never would have received an e-mail from Elaine Turner! So, here’s to fun things like shoes and bags and really fun e-mails!
