This is really a two part post, a white jeans outfit idea for the fall/winter and a style tip and trick.
The trick is that it really pays (literally) to make friends with the sales associates at stores. Last time I was in J. Crew, I asked my friend David if there was anything in the store I had to know about, and that’s when he told me about this amazingly cute cashmere sweater that was on the sale for $40!!! Cashmere for $40?!?!?! Have you ever heard of such a thing?! Ha!
The tip is about the boyfriend/flowy shirt trend. When purchasing these types of shirts, it’s important to get the size right. If not, you run the risk of wearing a shirt that is unflattering, making you look bigger or smaller than you actually are. When trying it on, make sure thechest/shoulder/arms are fitted andthe shoulder seams hit you right at your shoulders. In essence, buy the smallest size you can.
This is my first cashmere sweater to own…at least, I’m pretty sure. Anyway, I’m loving it! I’m not sure which one I like better, the sweater or the deal I got! I’m telling you it pays to befriend the sales associates -ha!

how clever to befriend the salesguy! It’s flattering to them, too, and who knows the store better than they do?!. . . actually, I think I do this at my farmer’s market. The farmers tell me what’s best because they know I’m a regular shopper and I love food. Fascinating.
I have one cashmere sweater and I ADORE it. So light and warm and breathable and SOFT. It was a gift and I’m pretty sure it cost more than $40!!
