Here it is! I’m so excited to share with you all Lisa Salzer’s take on mixing metals, what one piece of jewelry we should invest in, and more! Lisa Salzer (aka Lulu Frost) started creating jewelry in her dorm room and from there grew her business to the great success it is today. Some of you may know her from her wildly successful collaboration with J. Crew.Lisa’s grandmother (Elizabeth Frost) was in the estate jewelry business for years and has undoubtedly inspired Lisa’s designs. Sheblends “antique, vintage and modern elements to reinvent timeless classics.” What I love most about Lulu Frost is that each piece has a story. Whether it’s her Plaza Collection, where the numbers and letters are the original font from the Plaza Hotel in New York, or her 100 Year Collection, where each element in these one-of-a-kind pieces spans 100 years, her jewelry is sure to be a conversation starter. To me, when you buy Lulu Frost, you’re buying a piece ofjewelrythat encompasses a part of history and I love that!
Not to mention, after meeting her, it’s clear you’re buying a piece that has a lot of thought behind it and I love that, too. Her passion for her art is contagious. I hope you are as inspired as I was after listening to this interview. I think my sister went home and immediately started “creating” and I went home filled with excitement to have met such a neat female entrepreneur, who knew what she wanted and went out and accomplished it.
Question: What is one piece of jewelry that you feel everyone should invest in?
Question: What would your grandmother say to you now, after creating Lulu Frost? What advice did she give you, or what would she say to you now?
Question: How do you feel about mixing metals?
Question: What is your work environment like?
Question: What is your late night snack?

Fabulous post! I love the live interviews and the jump to your own YouTube Channel. The video really captures her style and personality which also comes through in the jewelry. I’ll be mixing more metals now.
