I have seen this style of shoe everywhere, but I didn’t know they had an official name! The style is called d’Orsay (door say). It’s when the sides of the shoe are cut away (close to the toe box), revealing the arch of the foot (source: about.com). It’s definitely a trend, because there are so many d’Orsay flats out right now! I broke down some of my favorite shoes into 3 categories. Each category has a distinct purpose, and I only chose ones I love!
1- Halogen /2- Kate Spade /3- Tory Burch /4- Jeffrey Campbell /5- Halogen /6- Jeffrey Campbell
Black and Tan: Such a classic combination! This color combo is a perfect way to transition your black items into the spring and summer, and it works especially well with work outfits- black skirts, black pants etc. To me the black adds a dressier element to the flat.
1- Enzo Angiolini /2- Chinese Laundry /3- Dolce Vita /4- Jeffrey Campbell /5- Anthropologie /6- Madewell /7- Alice + Olivia /8- Halogen /9- BC Footware
Metallic/Neutral: I can see these flats worn with pretty much any spring/summer outfit. The neutral pallet allows you to wear these flats with white jeans, sundresses, shorts- basically everything!
1- Jeffrey Campbell /2- Alice + Olivia /3- Phillip Lim /4- Anthropologie /5- Anthropologie /6- Anthropologie /7- Manolo Blahnik /8- Franco Sarto /9- Old Navy
Color/Print: Bright colors and prints get me every time. They’re just so fun and happy, no? You know how your red shoes seem to go with just about everything, because they just add the perfect pop of color? Well, that is how these would work in your wardrobe and they may even inspire an entire outfit every once in awhile, fun!
Well, (in my opinion) whichever one you choose, you can’t go wrong!

I love a great shoe. I like a good flat too. And if it’s bold, then it’s perfect. Great roundup!
