Blues

Am I the only one who once thought you couldn’t wear blue with blue? Well, I might be, because I asked my sister if she thought the same thing and she said, “No.” Ha! Just in case I’m not the only one, this post is for you. And for those of you in my sister’s boat, maybe this can serve as a little outfit inspiration for you.

I’ll have to say, it’s been a long time since I thought about this rule. But it must be somewhere in the cobwebs of my brain, because I rarely pick out this blue shirt when I wear blue jeans. Well, rules be gone! In fact, I must say that I really, really love this color blue with blue jeans. It’s somewhat unexpected! Which reminds me…while I’m in a client’s closet, I’m always trying to make outfits that are unexpected and not too “match-y match-y”, and this outfit reminds me of this practice. So here’s to wearing blue with blue! Oh, and since it’s so hot outside and so cold inside, I’ve been wearing my little jacket (introduced to me by Hi Sugarplum) tied around my waist.

As I look at this picture and write about my niece, I get teary eyed. I could probably loose it. I’ll never forget the day she was born. I was in the room and it was one of the most amazing days of my life. She is a miracle in every sense of the word, but I’ll let my sister (TITYN) tell you that story. In the meantime, I’ll continue to thank God for her life. She is a true beauty on the inside and obviously on the outside. In this picture she is wearing the dress I wore when my mom married my step dad. These kinds of pictures remind me of what life is all about.
