Everyday Outfits: A little outfit inspiration.

I typically wear my cream sweaters with blue, white, or black jeans, but I decided to mix it up with grey jeans and grey booties. I am loving this cream sweater, it’s not too heavy or chunky.

So when I was coming up with this outfit, I thought black on black would make me feel drab… Boy was I wrong! It made me feel cool and empowered… it made me want to snap my fingers in the z formation. Anyway, all that to say, if you are ever feeling drab or frumpy, throw on an all black outfit, and boom, it’s like magic!

There are lots of different greys and blues in the outfit. I love to mix colors but keep within the same color tone.

Well, need I say it- I totally love white jeans in the winter, and I love the way they looked with these Uggs!

When in doubt, go with collegiate style- grey tee, sneaks and a fleece.

I am loving this Madewell sweater I bought for my ski trip. I love where it hits at my waist and how it drops down in the back.

Here’s the Madewell sweater again! I’m telling you, I love it! I had seen a couple of light colored jean, winter outfits, and I had to try it for myself. I love it! Plus, I love trying to wear items in my closet year round. I considered these “summer” jeans.
Carly I love reading your ideals so much on style. If you can remember me you know I’m Melissa West Mother I’ve always loved to dress,now that I’m retired I needed ideals on how to dress down. I have to say I’m to old to wear leggings unless I wear something long with them. You are skinny and wear anything. I have to be careful not to look I’m trying to be younger. So a lot of your styles I modified for my age. So keep up the good work you are doing I love your blog. By the way you have grown into a beautiful young lady and have a great looking family.
