Sometimes it’s a good thing when your room is a mess! This outfit came together when I had clothes sprawled around my room trying to come up with another outfit for a post. I saw this grey turtleneck next to these light colored jeans, and I loved the color combo. I tried it on and it had a 70’s vibe going for it, so I went with it. Can that be a trick? Throw some clothes around and see what inspires you?!?! It might surprise you and make you go 70’s when you’ve never gone 70’s before!
But in my mind, the accessories are really what make this outfit. Without them, this outfit is very basic (jeans and a turtleneck). But once the accessories were added, it went from 70’s to now!
I tucked my turtleneck (most comfy turtleneck ever) into my jeans to define my waistline and to keep the 70’s vibe going, but…
…let’s face it, sometimes that’s just not comfortable -ha! So next time you are feeling totally exasperated trying to come up with an outfit, stop (drop and roll, no sorry), look at your pile, and see where it leads you!

Love the retro look! So fun. I just wanted to say that yours is the first fashion blog I ever visited and after that I started to browse a handful of others and while they can be fun and all that, yours is still my favorite! Your style of writing is warm and inviting and you actually have tips that are helpful.
