Trend Alert: Ten Favorite Things for Spring/Summer

I was recently invited to share the ten favorite things I’m loving right now, and they have changed a bit from my previous “ten things” post. Most of them represent a new trend for the spring/summer. Some of these things you’ve seen before and some I have not yet posted.

Jean Jacket-It’s baaaack (did it ever leave?)! If you follow along on Instagram, you have seen just how much I’m loving my jean jacket. I’m even getting creative with it! I recently  layered it with my army jacket on a cold morning, and I also draped it over my shoulders to add a casual look to a dress.

Fringe– If you’re like me, I’m sure you guys are seeing fringe all over the place. It’s a big trend this spring. As you all know, I love these blue sandals, but I love these two fringe bags, too (here and here). Do you have a favorite fringe piece?

Jogger Jeans– One night while perusing websites (this is what I do for fun -ha!), I came across a pair of jogger sweatpants that were dyed to look like jeans. I almost bought them, but I didn’t want to spend a lot on sweatpants. Then I started seeing all these jeans that were joggers! Yes, please! I can actually wear these joggers beyond the house! I bought these, but I have a few favorites- here (light blue), here, here and here.

White top and Grey top– I love lightweight, flowy tops for the summer! I usually find most of mine at Anthropologie, but sometimes I just can’t find one. Well, I have a new place! Recently, I’ve had really good luck at Free People! I currently have this (yellow), this, and this (cadet blue) in my basket.

Sunglasses– I’m loving colorful mirrored lenses! I especially love the blue ones. I am currently deciding between these Aviators and these. I already have a pair of Aviators, so I can’t decide -ha!

Colorful bracelets (here, here and here)- I love that colorful bracelets are making a come back, especially friendship bracelets. The little girl in me wants to jump up and down and buy a whole bunch for my girlfriends. I love this one, too.

Scarf– I love a good gauzy scarf (especially for the spring/summer), but I can use this one as a beach cover up, too! You know I like multiple uses from one item- good value!

Flats– These are looking so cute with my white outfits for the spring/summer. Everytime I have white on (which is everyday in the summer), I can wear these. I especially love that my toes don’t have to be painted when I wear them.

Stripe Top– CLASSIC.

Baseball hat– Even though I wear sunscreen on my face everyday, when I’m out in the sun for long lengths of time (beach, pool, baseball games, etc.), I like to have little extra protection. Enter the chambray baseball cap! I love that there is no team on it, so it will go with everything! Plus, it’s a lot less cumbersome than a straw hat, which means one less thing I have to carry at the airport- ha!
