What I Wore: Dallas

If you follow along on Instagram, then you might have seen that I was out of town last week at a fashion blogger conference. A room full of women you don’t know can be intimidating, but thankfully I am growing as a person and feeling a little more comfortable in my own skin. I know we’ve all been in “that room” at some point in our lives- it’s a humbling place to be, so I tried to lean in. It was also helpful to have a core group of friends with me, and I met some new friends, too! I also learned a lot and was really inspired, and I hope to bring that inspiration to you guys. This is what I wore on the first night…

The party was by the pool at The Joule Hotel in Dallas, and the attire was “resort wear”. Well, I guess I decided my resort was somewhere in Greece -ha! My friend thought the shower stall was the perfect backdrop for my Grecian get up. I agreed, so I hopped in for a pic! 

I love mixing my jewelry and improvising. Here I put my Madewell cuff under my Noonday colorful arm cuff, and I love how it turned out! It looks like one bracelet. I also stacked my rings for extra oomph.

I decided to wrap my sandal straps around my ankle instead of up my leg- I saved that look for another night. With this look, I wanted the eye to be drawn to the diagonal line of the dress.

At the party I met a new friend! She’s also a blogger in Houston! We were so excited, we had to take a picture! You can find Ashley and details on her dress here, because I know you want details on that darling dress!
