It’s HERE!!!! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for cardholders opened today (it’s really easy to become a cardholder, you can do it online)! Here’s what you need to know- it’s this coming season’s items (as in Fall 2015) at 30-40% off, and after the sale they go back to full price! Wait, what… how?!? I don’t know, but I’m in. As always, I have a logical plan of attack. I buy a lot of my “nice” staple items at this sale. Last year I learned that the shoes sell out really fast, and by golly, it wasn’t going to happen to me this year! I had an hour today, so I hit the shoe tent exclusively. What my friends and I found in that hour was AAAAmazing! I had to share immediately, because I was excited and also afraid the items would sell out. (This post was suppose to be for Monday, but my husband is at a dinner, and I was too excited.)
Alright, I’m starting with these because they were already having a hard time finding them for me and my friend. Here’s why these are selling out and are so popular- they are the most flattering (you see that v at the ankle? It makes the ankle look skinny), they always look right with whatever jean you are wearing (skinny jean rolled, boyfriend jean rolled, no roll, etc.), they are the most comfortable bootie, and they still give you some height. I’ve just been waiting to buy the perfect bootie to wear with sundresses, and these are it. I already have them in grey/black, so I bought the camel color. Now, you know they are a good bootie when you buy multiple pairs in different colors. If you have been on the fence about booties or you think they look terrible on you, these are your bootie. They will not disappoint.
I’m seriously having to hold myself back from buying these! As you have seen, I pretty much wear my black Pedro Garcia sandals every time I get dressed up on this blog. I bought them two years ago at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and they are my favorite dressy shoe! These are this years version, and I love them! You guys buy them so I can oooogle over them from a far!
Well, 3 out 4 of us bought these shoes. You don’t understand- they are so, so comfortable and super lightweight. I think my friend and I started jumping up and down like little girls, and there may have been a high five in there, too. When my friend tried them on with her white jeans, I got so excited. They look so cute! I have a feeling I will be wearing these all the time for errands, airports, sigh seeing, shopping, working… so pretty much everything I do. Maybe I should buy them in navy…
Or maybe I should buy these in navy and save myself some money. I mean how cute, comfy, and classic are these?! And at $32, how can you say no?!?
I will have to say, when I put these on, I felt super cool. I was super duper tall. So tall, my friends and I had to take a funny picture of my tallness (see below). But, I kinda liked it. And you know what? I felt tall but sturdy, because it was a wedge, not a heel. I’m not a very graceful person (I seem to fall a lot), so these shoes were made for me-ha! But you know who else these shoes are made for? All of my vertically challenged friends that like a lot of height, but don’t want to be in heels.
I wear my black high tops ALL the time! I’m still wearing them in the dead of summer! I love them! They are so comfy, and I just feel a little hip when I wear them. Yes, I really did just say that -ha! Well, if you are wanting to try a little something different this season, this is your ticket. Just image how cute these would look with skinny jeans and sweaters!
I didn’t get around to these, but I’m going to go check them out (here, here, here, here).
Happy Shopping!

I too love the Pedro heels! They are just beautiful! I am debating on buying the Pedro Heels or the Rag and Bone booties. In your opinion which would be more versatile? Also, which color would you suggest buying in the Rag and Bone booties if I don’t have any colors in this shoe. Thanks for the great post!!

Hi, I think which pair is more versatile depends on your lifestyle. I like both colors of the Rag and Bone booties, I already have a black pair so I went with the camel. I hope this helps.

Love the Rag & Bones and Cole Hans. Who are your T-shirt and jeans by?
They look like good wardrobe staples.
