I recently lost my Ray Ban Wayfarers. I thought I could go without them, until I saw a new version of them everywhere in Chicago. In fact, the very first time I saw them, I actually stopped the girl and asked her where she got them. When she told me they were Ray Bans, I thought to myself, “of course”! If you’ve owned a pair of Ray Ban Wayfarers, then you know the reason they are so popular. They look good on so many face shapes! I personally really love the price point of Ray Bans. For designer sunglasses, they are a somewhat reasonable price (it doesn’t make me sweat too much if they fall off my face- ha!). So, after seeing that pair of sunglasses at least 5 different times in Chicago and knowing what I know about Ray Ban Wayfarers, I decide that those are the sunglasses I’ll buy for the fall. But then I went on a hunt, and now I am so confused! Ray Ban has some really great designs available, and I had to share them with you guys! There are so many options out there, but I pared it down to just 4 (the options are endless now that you can customize!). I also breakdown the difference between the classic Wayfarer and the new Wayfarer.
Here’s what I found:
The next two pairs of sunglasses are the classic Wayfarers. They that have a forward tilt away from the face. They come in 50 and 52mm. I like the smaller 50 mm for my face.
1.) I’m a sucker for a blue lens. They’re just fun! The model’s brown hair with the tortoise frames makes me envious! If you like/want this look, click here and customize like this: Lenses-Blue Flash, Material-Tortoise, Front-Light Tortoise, Temple-Light Tortoise.
2.) Then I saw this pair. It’s tortoise and black with a brown lens! I’m surprised that I have never seen this classic combination before or any of the other pretty combinations. Then I noticed on the Ray-Ban website that they are offering blue and green tortoise (fleck) with matching green and blue lenses. It sounds weird, but it’s really cool! Check them out here.
Here are the two new Wayfarer options. The new Wayfarers don’t tilt away from the face and are available in 52 and 55mm. The models are wearing 52mm. You can customize the colors, but these are my favorite combinations.
3.) This is the pair I saw all over Chicago! I love the black with cream detailing. When I saw them, I remember thinking they were the perfect twist on the standard black Wayfarer! If you like/want this look, click here and customize like this: Lenses- Green, Material- Gloss, Front- Black on Beige, Temple-Black.
4.) But then I came across the tortoise shell pair with the same cream detail! If you like/want this look, click here and customize like this: Lenses- Green, Material- Gloss, Front- Tortoise on Beige, Temple-Tortoise.
If your not digging any of these combinations you can completely customize your Wayfarers (click here)! If there are any die hard school fans, it would be fun to get Ray Bans in your school colors! On game day, you would be the envy of the stadium -ha!
Which should I buy (1, 2, 3 or 4)? Which pair do you like for yourself?

I’m partial to the blue lenses. Off to play with the customization feature.

Love#2! I just can’t imagine how they’d lash with anything nor how anyone could get sick of them. Ugh. I might need them

Ha! I’d say go with #1 or #4! Can’t go wrong with any of them but I’m partial to tortoise shell too!
