If a brand has an “essentials collection” where they only put their name on a few items, I find that gutsy and I’m interested. If you have been a long time reader, then you know I’m all about essentials or what I call “staples in a wardrobe”. These are items I am willing to spend a little more on, because I know I’ll get a lot of wear out of them. Many of you were shocked to see how few clothes I keep in my closet. I once had a very large closet, but now I keep it to the staples with a few trendy pieces mixed in. That’s why the brand Zady peeked my interest. Here is a quote from their website: “You know the feeling. Staring at an overflowing closet, with a never-ending sense of having nothing to wear. Clothing with seams coming apart after only a few turns in the wash. We’re making clothes what they should be: Clothes that fit. Clothes that feel great. Pieces that inspire.”. After reading this, I agreed to check out their essentials collection for myself. This chunky sweater had my name written all over it.. Why? Because it’s comfy yet stylish and versatile (I think this should be my new tag line). I can see dressing it up or down, and I could even wear it with my pjs.Outfit Links:

They also offer an “essential t-shirt“- it’s pretty gutsy to only sell one t-shirt. That means it’s gotta be good, right? Well, you know I’m a t-shirt and jeans kind of girl (I dress up on occasion), so I had to check this t-shirt out for myself. It didn’t disappoint.
In fact, I can already tell it will be my “go to” white tee. You know why? The fit was great! It isn’t too low in front (for when I bend down), it doesn’t show my bra straps, it’s slimming but not tight, and I like the swoop in the back. Plus the quality is great! The cotton is soft but not see through, and I liked the rolled sleeve detail. You don’t usually get these details with regular store bought t-shirts.
I also liked how it peeked out from under my leather jacket.
I hope you all enjoyed being introduced to a brand that you may or may not have heard of before. And I hope you enjoyed hearing a little bit about my shopping philosophy. I can tell you this shopping philosophy has really simplified my life. I don’t stare at my closet anymore feeling completely overwhelmed. I just go to the pieces that I love, which is basically all I have in my closet.
These pictures were taken on my recent trip to California with my husband. We found a great little alleyway in the town of Carmel that was the perfect place to take pictures of me in my sweater. We took the t-shirt pictures on our very last day as we were headed to the airport on the back porch of the house we stayed in. We were lucky enough to be hosted at an amazing house by our friends. I, of course, wore my slide-on sneakers, t-shirt, comfy jeans and a jacket for my travel outfit.

I found their sizing to run true. I’m wearing an xs (my normal size) in the pictures. I hope this helps.

Asking the same questions as the others. I am ordering the T-shirt, but would like to know what size you are wearing?? I am usually a small or xs (but sometimes an xs is too tight through my breasts). Thanks for you help.

I find the t-shirt to be roomy in the chest area. I’m wearing an xs (my normal size) in the t-shirt. I hope this helps.
