I have to say, if there is one thing I gravitate towards in my closet as soon as spring has sprung, it is my white linen tops. There is something so classic and casually chic about them. Think Lauren Hutton. I feel like they instantly make me look more “put together”. And I love that I can wear them with everything! They serve the same purpose as a white tee, but look nicer -ha! I’d definitively say that white linen shirts are a staple in my closet. I can count three just off the top of my head!
I have this one from Old Navy that I love, and I picked this one up while in Oxford at Nella (I’m super excited, because I can also wear it as a cover-up).
I recently purchased this one (top in pics) from J. Crew, and I love it! There is nothing that will date it- no fancy buttons, no fancy collar. It’s just a white linen shirt with a classic shape. It’s also the perfect weight and not too see through.
I keep seeing that “all white” is the thing to do this season. Well, sign me up! I already have three white tops, and I don’t have to worry about what to wear on the bottom or what accessories to wear for color. ALL WHITE, I’m in.
Are you in?

Hi Carly,
Did you purchase the J Crew shirt in a petite size? I noticed on J Crew reviews said that it ran long.
Thanks!
Lisa
Carly Lee says
Hi, I didn’t purchase the petite size. I’m wearing a regular 00 in the pictures. I hope this helps.
