To be honest, it seems trivial to post about clothes right now. We have experienced really crazy weather in Texas recently. I have many friends whose homes were flooded, and a particular tragedy in Wimberley struck close to home and was personal to me. All of it has hit so many of us so hard, both emotionally and physically. I found myself overcome with sadness for so many, so yesterday, I tried very hard to focus on what was good. I hugged my boys, I went on a bike ride, I played basketball, I did yoga, I watched the food network (there is something comforting about the food network), I went to Target (a happy place), and then I made breakfast for dinner. It didn’t take away the sadness, but it helped me move through it. There is something about moving (myself and the world moving) that is comforting, and this post is yet another way to help move through the sadness. You see, creating an outfit, or a post and focusing on the positive is what moves me forward, and that’s why I’m posting. I’m thinking and praying for all my friends who have been affected by this weather. Thanks for letting me share.

I love the shirt! Hope you are safe from the floods, and praying for those who aren’t. If only California would get some rain. Not like you have, but some.

Thanks, Carly, for “keepin it real” as usual and for coming up with a lovely ensemble in the midst of it all. I am a huge fan of your blog.
