Now, I don’t consider myself a beauty expert, but I know a good product when I use one.
My sister-in-law, Mallory, reads all sorts of beauty blogs and publications, so I rely on her as my beauty expert. At the beginning of the summer, she told me about these Revlon Colorburst lip balms. She had purchased the orangey red color and had me try it on. I loved the way it felt on my lips, and I loved how bright the color was.
Since then, we have collectively purchased all the different colors you see on my hand. See how the pigment is so bright and intense? I love that I didn’t have to “invest” in any of these colors. There is something carefree about trying a new, trendy color without making an investment.
Here I am wearing the red color, striking. Of course I’m wearing red -ha! But in my defensive, I had to. The night before, I was up all night with my son, and I looked so tired. I needed a red lip. No, seriously. But if you’d like to see some other post I’ve worn these lip balms, check out this post (here) when I wore striking and this post (here) when I wore showy.
I had to include this picture, because the picture above was so serious. I felt so silly posing for the shots that I started to make stupid faces at my s-i-l, and then we started cracking up. Maybe I should have posted the cross-eyed picture instead.
