If you follow along on Instagram, you know I’ve challenged myself to break out of my jean rut. There’s nothing wrong with jeans (in fact, I wore this new pair yesterday), but I find it fun and helpful to give myself little fashion challenges to keep me excited about getting dressed! I’m seeing celebrities, street style pins, models in catalogs and ads all wearing sneakers with skirts and dresses. Well, count me in! Why didn’t I think to do this earlier?!? During my quest to find alternatives to jeans, I found this adorable skirt! The best part? It has an elastic waistband!!!

I can’t stop buying lightweight long sleeve shirts! I realized this summer how much I love them, and now I keep looking for them in every store I go into. While I was on vacation, I found this one at Faherty. I was impressed with the quality of their clothes, and they have a few really cute tops. I’m wearing an xxs in this top. You’ve seen this outfit before on this post, but I wore this outfit recently (again as a jean alternative) and now the pants are on SUPER SALE. The inside has this super soft lining and they don’t hug anywhere, so they’re as comfortable as pajama pants! Plus, I received so, so, so many compliments when I wore these pants!
And since I take my challenges VERY seriously (yeah right, it’s because I like to shop -ha!), I’m waiting for these three skirts to come in the mail:
