Happy Friday! I’m looking forward to this weekend! I thought I’d do a fun post filled with fun little tidbits! I hope it kicks off your weekend! Image from El Arroyo’s Big Book of Signs.
If you’re looking for an easy meal (and when I say easy, I really mean easy- no pots or pans), then this meal is for you. My kids told me it was the best meal I’d ever made, which made me kinda scratch my head. You’ll see why…
You can probably guess which plates are for my boys (what’s wrong with tomato?!). Anyway, the best meal I’ve ever “made” is rotisserie chicken (or already prepared salmon), sliced avocado and tomato, olive oil, salt and pepper, and if you’re fancy, basil leaves -ha! I mean, how easy is that? I take no credit, the recipe is from Skinny Taste.
I’m really into life’s little joys (more on that later), like a good smelling hand soap, a candle or…
…colorful pens! My friend got me hooked on these pens! They write so well, and they’re fun! But don’t get it twisted, I’m not color coding my calendar with these things. I’m just scribbling notes with whatever colorful pen I happened to find in that moment. Am I the only one who can never find a pen in their house?
My sister shared this on her Instastories (I swear, she finds the best things!). It was so good, I had to share it!

I’ve listened to two podcasts in the last week that blew me away. This is not normal for me.
I can’t stop thinking about this podcast by Katherine and Jay Wolf called the The Good Hard Life. It talks about how life is, yes, hard and good at the same time, which is something my “black-and-white” brain struggles with daily. I mean, how can life be good when it’s hard?

Their book is pretty amazing, too.
Hope Heals by Katherine and Jay Wolf
A special thanks to my friend Courtney Garrett for introducing them to me their book and podcast!
And if you are or have ever been in a really difficult time in life (ok, so everyone), this podcast will be just the breath of fresh air you need. I’m so glad my friend sent it to me. She knows me well.
Happy Weekend!
