If you are like me, you can’t wait to go shopping this Thanksgiving break. I know some of you think I’m crazy, but it’s one of my favorite Thanksgiving traditions with my family (my sister + cousins and aunt who live in Dallas). One of our favorite places to shop is Anthropologie. As you all know, I spend a lot of time in the store, and I’ve learned a thing or two. I thought this was the perfect time to share the ins and outs of Anthropologie, just in case you plan on stopping by during the break.
Whatever you do, don’t skip this section! Found and Collected is filled with unique items they “found” and are specific to that particular store. What I love about it is that you can usually find really unique pieces that no one else will have! This section also carries returns that are not usually carried in the store (online exclusives). A lot of times I run across online exclusives that I loved on the website but wanted to see in person first. Even if it’s not my size, I can see how it looks and feels and guesstimate the fit before I order it online.
For instance, I fell in love with this jumpsuit online. Lucky for me, when I went to Anthro to find something to wear to my S-I-L’s rehearsal dinner, guess what was in the Found and Collected section?!?!? Yes!!! Yes!!! Yes!! The jumpsuit!
This, of course, is the cutest of all the pictures. I was just staring at my son while writing this post (as moms do) and noticed the statue in the background is of a mom and child in a similar stance! Sorry, I digress:
Here’s a few more Anthropologie shopping tips:
I have been meaning to tell you all about this tip for years: You know the round tables that have shirts folded on top all through out the store? Well, there is a shelf right below the surface that you must look at! You can find some real gems in those shelves, and people don’t normal look at them!
Also, be sure to sign up for the their Anthro card, because you get a discount to use during your birthday month. And sign up for their e-mails, because they notify you of sales.
Oh, and one must alway hit the back sale room!
If you have any other tips, please share them below in the comment section!
