I was recently chatting with a friend, and she had a great question! Can you wear suede in the summer? It took me a second to answer because I imagined myself wearing a long suede dress with sweat dripping down my face -hahaha! Then she mentioned she was specifically wondering about suede shoes. Ahhhh, now I get it! So, here’s the answer: Yes, you can wear suede in the summer (when it makes sense)! A long suede dress when it’s 100 degrees outside doesn’t make sense! But what about a pair of black suede flats? Well, when worn at night to an indoor restaurant where the A/C is blasting, makes sense! Now, you may choose a more summery color, like blue suede, but you catch my drift. Anyway, just look at all the suede shoes I have in my closet! I would wear each one of these in the dead heat of summer without any hesitation. So Linds, the answer is, YES!!! And E (my sis @tellitoyourneighbor)- yes, you can wear your suede shirt in the summer… if you are in the A/C -ha! Just pair the shirt with something summery, like a light colored flare jean and a wedge (think boho)!
