I love spring! I think it might be my favorite season. All the birds are chirping, the flowers are blooming, and the sun starts peeking through the clouds more and more each day! And with that, the new arrivals for spring hit the stores. They’re always full of fun, cheerful colors, and it gets me excited for the warm sunny days ahead!
As you all know, one of my favorite places to shop is Madewell. Light Wash Jeans (for sizing reference, I’m wearing a 23)
I’ve been looking for the perfect pair of spring denim to add to my closet, and I’ve found it! I love the light wash on these because they’ll give new, spring life to my long sleeve tops! And, I love that they are high waisted. All the tops out right now seem slightly cropped, which I love because it gives me a waistline without having to sloppy tuck. But, it makes getting dressed a little more difficult, unless I have lots of high waisted jeans. I particularly love these Madewell high waisted jeans because the waistline is elastic! You can literally pull it out from your tummy a good 2-3 inches… sweet relief! They perform like designer jeans but are not nearly as expensive!!!
Speaking of amazing jeans!!! Guess what else I found at Madewell?!?! White jeans that are flattering!! CAN IT BE?!?! I mentioned this pair of white jeans in a recent post called “Starting Over.” I helped a client start her wardrobe over, and we found this amazing pair of white jeans by Madewell. I didn’t really concentrate on them in the post because they were out of stock at the time. Then, I went to another client’s house, who had ordered the jeans based on my post, and they fit her just as well as my other client! So, I went to the store to buy them immediately, and they were out of stock in the store, too! I’m not surprised because when there’s a great pair of white jeans, they usually sell out. So, here’s a stock photo, but they are fully in stock online. And just a friendly reminder, the tighter the better when it comes to jeans. Yes, even white jeans.
Button Skirt (for sizing reference, I’m wearing a 0)
I love the edgy, school girl look of this skirt, and I love the buttons. It’s an updated take on the black denim skirt, which really comes in handy during the dog days of summer. Oh, and this skirt has lots of stretch and didn’t feel too short on me.
Striped Blouse (for sizing reference, I’m wearing an XXS)
I’m a sucker for blue and white, and I’m a sucker for a classic oxford top. Especially when the blue and white stripes are thick and feel classic and modern at the same time. Pair this top with your favorite blue or black jeans and a pair of white sneakers, and viola! You’ve got yourself an outfit!
Tee (for sizing reference, I’m wearing an xxs)
I have a few clients that would prefer a crewneck tee to a v-neck tee. If that is you, you’re in luck!!! Madewell has a new crewneck tee that hits all the marks. It’s not see through, it doesn’t hug the middle, and it covers the front and back with the sides curved, so there’s not a horizontal line right at the hips. I’d say that is a winning tee!
Tie Dye T-Shirt (for sizing reference, I’m wearing a M)
Hello, tie dye, I love you! And I’m so thrilled retailers are loving you right now, too! I especially love the neutral take of the following two tie dye tops because it makes them so versatile!

I love a comfy sweatshirt, and I love tie dye. So obviously, I had to have it!

This is one of those tops that just makes you feel pretty and feminine when you put it on. Make it your own with what you pair it with! Pair the red color with white jeans and a red pair of sandals, and add a fun, colorful earrings for contrast. This top also comes in black! For the black color, pair it with a light wash denim and an animal print shoe!
Wrap Blouse (for sizing reference, I’m wearing an XXS)
I love animal print, and I love the flattering cut of this sash tie top. The v is elongating, and the sash-tie gives you a waistline without hugging the middle. A perfectly flattering top!
Jacket (for sizing reference: I’m wearing an XS but needed the small. I would recommend going up a size.)
I love to wear my moto jacket in the spring!! In fact, I wore my moto jacket on Friday on top of the blue an white oxford (above) and black jeans. I think moto jackets add the perfect amount of cool to any spring outfit, and this moto jacket is so comfy and great quality. Plus, I like that it has that quintessential moto jacket look, so it will have staying power in your wardrobe.
Veja Sneakers (Oh, and they just released a pretty pastel pair!!! Hold me back!!!)
